‘Special place in my heart’: Flint Farmers’ Market celebrates small business with craft market

FLINT, MI — The Flint Farmers’ Market honored Small Business Saturday with the Holiday Craft Market which featured dozens of artisans with handmade products. Vendors ranged from candle and jewelry makers to knitters and more. Talia Dunn and her daughter Dayani Dunn, both of Flint, sold candles near the back of the market’s Ramsdell Room at the free admission event hosted by Flint Handmade. Dunn’s business, named Flintstone Candle, started three years ago as a side hustle during the pandemic. “I turned my hobby into a business,” Talia Dunn said. “I enjoy making candles, so I started selling them with my daughters.” Dunn enjoys showing her daughters what it takes to be an entrepreneur at an early age and believed…
