Several GIDCs declare holiday on Jan 22 | – Times of India

Ahmedabad: After traders in various markets announced that they will keep shops closed on Jan 22, several GIDC estates too have decided to keep factories closed on the occasion. GIDC estates in Sanand, Vadodara, Jamnagar have said they will halt production for a day and give workers a holiday. Ajit Shah, chairman, GCCI GIDC committee said, “Jan 22 celebrations across the country are going to be unprecedented. The scenario will be like a voluntary holiday. We have asked manufacturers in Sanand GIDC to declare a holiday and instead, work on Sunday.
