Defending his decision, CM Siddaramaiah questioned whether the Union Government had declared a holiday in all states. Leader of the Opposition (LoP), R. Ashoka stated, “The whole nation is chanting the slogan of Shri Ram. People are voluntarily participating in the celebrations.
