MUMBAI: Maharashtra government declares a public holiday on January 22, 2024, when Lord Ram will be seated in the grand temple built at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya. The event will be held in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. State cabinet minister and Mumbai suburb’s guardian minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, in a letter dated January 4, 2024, had requested state Chief Minister Eknath Shinde to declare it a public holiday in Maharashtra.
