Palace declares January 9 a special non-working holiday in City of Manila | Inquirer News

MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang on Thursday declared January 9 a special non-working holiday in the City of Manila in commemoration of the Feast of the Black Nazarene. Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin declared the holiday in Proclamation 434. “I, Lucas Bersamin, Executive Secretary, by authority of the President, Ferdinand R. Marcos, JR., do hereby declare Tuesday, 09 January 2024, a special (non-working) day in the City of Manila,” read the Proclamation. The order said that allowing Manila citizens to enjoy the celebration was proper.
