Chennai: A week after enhancing its fleet with 50 new buses, the Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC), Chennai has introduced services across six fresh routes, creating vital links between T Nagar, Ambattur, Tambaram, and various suburban areas. Additionally, it has expanded services to encompass industrial regions and places of interest on the city’s periphery. The newly inaugurated routes are set to conduct between eight to twelve journeys daily, facilitating travel for approximately 7,000 additional commuters. These routes have been planned to enable residents of the outskirts to conveniently access major transit points and critical locations within the central city.
