MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Sunday emphasized the importance of spreading hope during Christmas by reaching out to those in need. In his Christmas message, Marcos highlighted the significance of the special day for Filipinos in honor of the birth of Christ through Simbang Gabi, gift-giving, and festive gatherings with loved ones. “But more than just a celebration, let us be reminded that the true meaning of Christmas lies in the recognition of the season as an opportunity to reach out to those who are suffering from solitude, sickness, and poverty,” he said.
