LHC judge lauds Punjab CM’s efforts for smog control

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Friday commended Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Raza Naqvi’s anti-smog efforts in the province. LHC Justice Shahid Karim on Friday heard petitions against rising smog in Lahore. During the proceedings, the judge eulogized the anti-smog efforts taken by Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi to improve air quality in the province. The court ordered to close all public and private educational institutions on Saturdays and Sundays for three months. And for offices, the court ordered a two-day-work-from-home-in-a-week policy. The court remarked that the environment department is responsible for the spread of smog in the province.
