Ranchi: Towing the Union government’s line, the Hemant Soren dispensation in the state, too, on Sunday declared a half-day holiday for all government offices in Jharkhand on the occasion of the “pran pratishta” of the Ram Lalla at Ayodhya on Monday. State government schools will, however, remain closed for the whole day, a notification issued by the IPR department said. The notification issued on Sunday afternoon, read, “All government offices and entities, banks and state-run schools will be closed till 2.30 pm on January 22 on the occasion of the ‘pran pratistha’ of Ram Lalla.” While the BJP-led government at the Centre had announced a similar holiday a few days back, non-BJP-ruled states, however, remained silent.Before Jharkhand, Congress-ruled Himachal Pradesh…
