Kolkata: Airfares across key destinations from the city have cooled down sharply as the school vacations ended and a busy winter travel period that lasted more than two months drew to a close. One-way fares to Mumbai which was anything between Rs 10,000 and Rs 12,000 till last week have come down to as low as Rs 7,000 and one-way fare to Chennai that was ranging between Rs 13,000 and Rs 14,000 is now Rs 8,000. Similar is the situation for flights to other major cities like Bangalore, Hyderabad and Delhi where flight tickets have become cheaper by anything between 20% and 40% and are now selling at Rs 6,600, Rs 6,300 and Rs 6,500 respectively.
