A private Victorian island bigger than Chadstone Shopping Centre has been snapped up for a seven-figure sum a month after hitting the market. Measuring 26.1ha, Elizabeth Island in Western Port Bay – which features 3km of coastline, two houses and two helipads – fetched more than $7m, according to industry sources. RT Edgar Manningham director James Hatzolos, who had the listing alongside agent Zee Sarwari, declined to comment on the price but said a Melbourne-based buyer purchased the tranquil property located near Phillip Island and French Island.
