SAULT STE. MARIE — Downtown Sault is showing off its holiday spirit with the second annual downtown Christmas decorating contest. Designed as a way to bring the community closer together over the holidays and show off some local cheer, the local Downtown Development Authority and chamber of commerce worked together to host the contest. “We wanted to create an incentive to help make our downtown more festive, something fun,” said DDA Director Stephanie Sprecker. “Like a lot of other community events, it’s growing this year.
