Direct flights to Jammu, Srinagar, Amritsar soon – Times of India

Kolkata: The city will get direct connections to four popular tourist destinations with low-cost carrier IndiGo Airlines, launching flights to Amritsar, Srinagar and Jammu, and SpiceJet resuming flights to Pakyong, Sikkim. “From March 29, the airline will introduce a direct three times-a-week service between Kolkata and Amritsar, connecting the country’s two major cultural centres. There is good business traffic to Amritsar from Kolkata. But the tourist traffic is even bigger as many from the city travel to Amritsar to visit the Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh, Wagah Border, Ram Tirth, Gurudwara Shaheed Ganj Sahib, and a lot more places in the outskirts,” said an airline source.
