NEW DELHI: West Bengal BJP president Sukanta Majumdar on Friday wrote to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee urging her to announce a holiday on Monday (January 22) in view of the Ram temple consecration ceremony in Ayodhya so that people can celebrate. Central government establishments, public sector banks, insurance companies, financial institutions and regional rural banks (RRBs) across the country will remain shut for half a day on January 22.Several states have also declared a half-day holiday to mark the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony.
