CLEVELAND, Ohio — Valentine’s Day has long been a holiday for lovers, but Galentine’s Day is a spinoff just for the girls. Galentine’s Day is an informal holiday celebrated on February 13. It’s all about celebrating female friendship and empowering women, whether they have a romantic partner in their life or not. Fans of “Parks and Recreation” are likely familiar with the holiday thanks to Amy Poehler’s Leslie Knope character. She coined the term during a 2010 episode, and it’s become a longstanding tradition more than a decade later.
